Bed bugs reproduce rapidly and can cause painful, itchy bites. They hide in bedding, furniture, carpets, and small cracks, making them difficult to detect and treat. Because they can survive for long periods without feeding and repopulate quickly, infestations often return without comprehensive treatment.

What To Expect For Treatment

Williams Pest Control by Sureguard will conduct a thorough visual inspection of the premises for signs of bed bug infestation before service. If evidence is found, treatment will be provided as deemed appropriate by Williams Pest Control. All pest control products will be applied in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and may be combined with vacuuming to effectively remove bed bugs. A follow-up visit will be conducted 14 days after the initial treatment to apply a preventative spray.

How to Prepare for Bed Bug Treatment

Remove bed linens including sheets, mattress cover, box spring and dust ruffle. Launder items using HOT WATER AND DRYING ON HIGH HEAT.
Laundered items should be stored away in sealed plastic bags and not placed back on the bed or serviced areas until 4 hours after the treatment has been completed.
Remove all items from closets, nightstands, dressers, etc. from any room suspected of being infested with bed bugs and placed in a sealed plastic bags. Leave those items in the room they came from. DO NOT MOVE TO ANOTHER ROOM.

Vacuum all floors and carpets thoroughly as well as using a crevice tool at baseboards and corners. Remove vacuum cleaner bad and seal it in a trash bag, discard in outside trash container immediately. If your vacuum cleaner is bag less empty contents into a trash bad and dispose immediately. (Clean vacuum container with hot water before replacing).
Move all furniture at least 10" inches away from walls to allow access for inspection and treatment.
Pets must be removed prior to treatment and any fish tanks must be covered. Animals can be kept offsite or in the backyard away from treatment area for a minimum of 4 hours from the time the treatment has been completed.
Plan on vacating for up to 4 hours after treatment to allow materials to dry (traffic in areas will negatively affect the results of treatment). NTX Best Pest recommends purchasing bed bug covers for the mattress and box springs of any beds suspected of infestation.
Due to differences in mattress construction and level of infestation, mattress may need to be discarded to eliminate bed bug infestations. Other items including upholstered furniture as well.
